Successful final rehearsal: Carthago partner Tadej Pogačar has won the Tour of Slovenia – with the highlight of the year, the Tour de France to follow

Title successfully defended: As he did in the previous year, Tadej Pogačar won the Tour of Slovenia on his home turf. It was also a welcome fitness test for the forthcoming Tour de France. Ever present in the paddock: the strikingly decorated world class bike racer’s Carthago c-compactline.

Favourite for third successive victory at the Tour de France

He won two of five stages and finished in first place with a twelve-second advantage over one of his team comrades: Just before the start of the Tour de France, Slovenian bike racer Tadej Pogačar proved to be in top form on the occasion of his victory in the Tour of Slovenia. He also came first in the UAE Tour in the Arab Emirates and the Strade Bianche and Tirreno Adriatico spring classics in Italy.

Now the Tour de France beckons from the 1st July. The 23-year-old from Slovenia has already won the last two Tour de France races, and is now looking to make it a hat trick. Tadej Pogačar – currently possibly the world’s most successful bike racer – is going to the start as the favourite. No wonder, in view of his final attack during the Tour of Slovenia: Here he won in a sprint in a mountain top finish after an attack on a 10% incline.

Ever-present: specially decorated Carthago c-compactline

Sandra Županec, managing director of Carthago d.o.o. In Slovenia: “The entire Carthago team is supporting Tadej Pogačar and will be closely following the Tour de France 2022.” After all, the rider from Slovenia will be accompanied by a strikingly decorated Carthago c-compactline at his races – ideal for breaks away from the hustle and bustle on race days or for support during training phases. Be it manageability, accommodation, comfortable living equipment or large storage compartments, the sleek A-Class motorhome harmonises ideally with the demands of the bike racing star.

The close connection between the world class bike racer and Carthago recently showed itself in the spring on the occasion of the handover of his new motorhome: He cycled the 35 kilometres to the second Slovenian site in Ormož together with about 200 employees from the Odranci factory.
